IDA Arizona brings the community together for a family-friendly 5K that welcomes all ages and abilities. Competitive runners, casual walkers, families with strollers, and even leashed dogs are all invited to participate. Children 10 and under can take part in the 100-Yard Kids Dash, a fun, confidence-boosting sprint designed just for them.

The Dyslexia Dash is more than a run — it’s a rally for awareness. The Dash celebrates the 1 in 5 individuals impacted by dyslexia and unites families, educators, and advocates to champion Structured Literacy for all.

    • 8 & Under, 9-10, 11-13, 14-17, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 - 79, and 80 & Over

  • Pre- & Post-Race "Athlete's Brunch" (granola bars, fruit, water, Gatorade, etc)

  • Chip Timed with Real Time Results and Photos provided by StartLine Racing on their Website

Race Day Information

  • Race Day Check In and Registration will be available beginning at your assigned arrival time.

    • We accept cash, check, and credit card on race day.  Race day prices are:

      • 5K - $40

      • Kids Dash (100 yard) - $20

    • All shirts sizes may not be available on race day (please register online before race day to guarantee your shirt size choice).

  • Wheelchair, stroller, and leashed pet friendly event.

    • All wheelchairs, stollers, and leashed pets must start at the back of the start line coral.

      • All participants are chipped time, so your time will not be affected by starting at the back of the coral.  Your  time will not start until you cross the start line.

  • The course will take you along the dedicated running trails in and around Freestone Park (a mixture of packed dirt and asphalt/concrete surfaces).  Please note - this is an open use trail system and does not close for our event.

  • Due to the common start/finish line there will be no bag check for this event.

Event Schedule

  • September 26th 6:30AM - Race Day Packet Pickup & Registration beginning at 6:30am at Freestone Park

  • September 26th 7:30AM - 5K Run Begins

  • September 26th 7:40AM - Kids Dash Begins

  • September 26th 8:30AM - 5K Awards Ceremony Begins (approx).
